Skardu Valley and the surrounding valleys of Khaplu and Shigar are some of the most stunning and picturesque places to visit in Pakistan, and will certainly not disappoint you. The topography of this area is so diverse and immense that you will be truly mesmerized like never before!
The approach to this magical place involves road travel via Karakoram Highway and then Skardu Road, along the Indus River through narrow gorges, providing some truly spectacular mountain scenery, including some outstanding views of Nanga Parbat (8,126m) and Rakaposhi (7,788m).
Skardu is a vast valley enveloped by jagged peaks, and comprising of cold desert, green meadows and lakes. We will also visit the magical valleys of Khaplu and Shigar, and the historical sites situated in these ancient towns (Khaplu Palace and Shigar Fort).
A tour to Skardu Valley is never complete without visiting the stunning Deosai Plains. At an average elevation of 4,114m (13,497 ft) above sea level, Deosai is the 2nd highest plateau in the world after Changtang Tibetan Plateau. Deosai, with its lush green grass, colorful wildflowers and rare butterflies, is rightly described as the “Summer’s Palace” by the locals. We will camp overnight at the gorgeous Sheosar Lake, from where we can witness some spectacular views of Nanga Parbat (8,126m).

From the stunning Katpana Cold Desert to the shimmering Upper Kachura Lake and Lower Kachura Lake, you will witness the nature at its very best.
